Climate trend
Warm early spring with a return of cold in the first ten days of April. Warm late April and May with practically summer temperatures without significant rainfall. Summer devoid of any precipitation with exceptionally hot temperatures until the end of September October with a 50% drop in production compared to the ceiling, due to the prolonged absence of precipitation. The budding and the whole vegetative development have been strongly anticipated. The grapes already showed particularly high sugar contents and below average acidity levels in mid-September.
Vines
Small-berry Sangiovese, Canaiolo with a small addition of hand-selected Merlot.
Harvest
Done manually from September 20th to October 9th.
Vinification
Obtained in small containers of 25 hl with max. 31 °, with 18 days of maceration, frequent pumping over and punching down.
Refinement
Made in 225 and 500 liter first passage barrels of French oak from the central massif for 18 months, followed by about 6 months of aging in bottle;

6,000 bottles from lt. 0.750.

Organoleptic analysis
Extremely elegant wine with an intense ruby red color with slight garnet reflections, a fine, intense and persistent aroma, with hints of red fruit, plums and oak, good structure, great harmony with soft tannins well blended with notes of fruit, with a long finish it's pleasant.
